What works

Chatting, avatar displaying, chat tabs, instant messages, logging in, avatar changing, preference changing, avatar effects -- all of this works.

What does not

As Voodoo displays server-owner defined web page backgrounds for each of it's rooms, you will find loading Voodoo normally will cause the active x function to want to be installed. Unfortunately on installing active x, you'll find that while the web page backgrounds do indeed load, however the avatars have all kinds of display problems. If it weren't for this, I'd rate the program gold.

You can still run Voodoo without having a web-page backdrop, however, and the avatars will display fine. Use the following command below:

wine voodoo.exe -x

Common problems with Voodoo under Wine are as follows: Avatar "previews" before uploading are slightly exaggerated, IMs pop behind the native Voodoo window and require a clicking on the chatter's list to restore them, "tabs" appear a bit off, chat "comic bubbles" do not appear (due to -x being used), you must know the server address of the server you're willing to log into by viewing it from the Voodoo web page as you cannot select to view it from the list using -x, the advertising box (not used for advertising, just what it's called) appears scrunched, highlighted http:// addresses (ready for clicking) do not click to open up.

There are other slight problems, but no problem that I've listed is significant. You are able to chat with avatars being viewable and change the skin of the program if you so wish -- the basic foundation of the chat program.

What was not tested

Most things were tested. File sends are still up in the air, but they did not appear to work on my end at the time I tested them.

Additional Comments

Remember to run this program with the -x flag -- example: wine voodoo.exe -x as Voodoo will not work as intended otherwise. PS. Let it be noted I am not the Mike that created Voodoo. I'm simply adding it to the Wine AppDB because it works.
