MagicWorkstation uses two different binaries, one for creating decks (MagicWorkstation.exe) and another for playing on a virtual table (MWSPlay.exe).
MagicWorkstation.exe works quite good with wine 0.9.19 but MWSPlay.exe don't due to internal hardcoded font system. Program is loaded but essential parts of game (life points, number of cards) aren't shown.
To be able to play you can download a test version from here: http://virtualplaytable.com/download/mwsplay094test2.zip
This version uses standard ttf rendering sistem so wine displays it properly.
With that version MWSPlay.exe works but MagicWorkstation.exe (!). So you must have both versions installed and switch between them. This is not a real problem because MagicWorkstation.exe generates a file that can be loaded into MWSPlay.exe to play.
Here you can find a little howto i wrote: http://www.magi-soft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5509
I was able to play online without any problems with regular 0.94f users.
What does not
Version 0.94f of MWSPlay.exe doesn't work due to internal hardcoded font system.
Version 0.94test of MagicWorkstation.exe doesn't work.
What was not tested
I didn't check any possible option of MWSPlay.exe so i'm not really sure if everything works OK.
A new version (0.95) is suposed to be released in a near future. So maybe with that version all this extra work wont be necessary.

get winetricks from http://www.kegel.com/wine/winetricks and do:
sh winetricks corefonts
the Arial and Times fonts are needed for the numbers and names to show up on cards and zones.
(Please note:With the latest version of wine, do NOT delete the .dll that the other test result comments told you to delete; if you do, it will give you problems with the play area not displaying.)
