What works

Installation - after wine-0.9.19-SuSELinux101.i586 has been installed, just double clicking on the windows .exe and following the screens, got to the results.*

Using the program - no problems in the instant messenger part detected. Used for one week without any problems.

What does not

*Creating New Screen Name, after install finished - the last screen had a Restart and a Finish button that could not be clicked on, although above them I could select/deselect the install/not install Google Desktop... without clicking on Finish, the app would not finish being ready for use, if I killed this last window, the "create new screen name" part got restarted by the main Paltalk program. Eventually I created my new Paltalk account on a Windows 98 computer, after that I could use it under the SuSe 10.1 without problems.

Workarounds

What was not tested

Sound - the headphones version of communication.

The Private Room, Send File and Block Pal functions were not tested yet. Trying to use it as a client for Yahoo Messenger didn't work, Paltalk stopped responding, the windows contents didn't show any more except the window frame, and waiting for 20 minutes didn't help either. I know that under windows it downloads some additional plugin(s) to become able to connect to Yahoo, that's why I waited so long... The Yahoo part worked very vell on Win98 after the above mentioned plugin's download. As a client for AOL or ICQ was not tested by me at all.

Additional Comments

I considered to be of help with whatever I've found out even though I didn't do very thorough testing of all the functions of the program. I want to make it a fact that chat works perfectly under the above circumstances, without any extra settings done to either wine or Paltalk.
