Additional Comments
THPS2 installs (I used 'full installation') and plays fine. I didn't need to fiddle around with settings (except for fullscreen). Just started the game and everything worked as it should. I entered a cheat code to get access to all levels, skaters ect.. I tested every level for a couple of minutes and encountered no problems. All music and movies are working correctly. I tested the Xbox 360 controller with the default Xpad driver provided by Linux Mint/Ubuntu and it worked. I only needed to configure the button layout in the options. Even the rumble function worked. The LT/RT buttons don't work though. Software mode worked but only with the resolution 512x384. With 320x240 the game chrashes. The 512x384 option only appeared with a emulated virtual desktop. Hardware mode worked with any resolution (640x480 up to 1024x768). Fullscreen worked but when I move the mouse to far right/below it happens that I'm leaving the screen. When I use the option to capture the mouse in fullscreen I have to click in the game screen to make it work correctly, otherwise I'm still able to leave the screen. Please note that every time you switch between the menus and the gameplay there is a change in resolution, so you have to click one time to capture the mouse to the game screen. Otherwise just don't move the mouse to the edge of a screen or use a emulated virtual desktop. Please note: It can be that you have to use a CD-check remover and the full installation option to start the game. I only have a version of the game which was bundled with a gaming magazine so I didn't need a NO-CD fix. Because I can not test this I give the rating 'Gold' instead of 'Platinum'. I used a clean wine 32-bit prefix. No additional libraries were added.
