August 31st, 2006--The latest Xfire release brings live updates to nicknames, a whole slew of bug fixes, and many new games.
It installs fine on vanilla wine 0.9.20, am able to load it after install. - Able to add friend - Able to chat with friend (not voice) - It needed IE, wine downloaded and installed gecko engine and all worked perfectly - Launching a game, (I made a symbolic link to my native linux quake3 called quake3.exe, pointed xfire to it and it worked)
What does not
- Voice chat, seemed to recognize when I talked (The indicator light was going off each time I talked) but I heard nothing and neither did other user - Fonts are still screwed up, I don't think it's a font issue because I added all my fonts from my win32 machine to wine and it still didn't solve the problem - When in IM, can not see own typing - Window is always on top when it shouldn't be - Window kind of flickers - Can not change skin, hoses the program
What was not tested
- Auto-patch download of installed games
Getting really close to having this work correctly!! Keep up the great work!!
