A full featured 3D CAD program with a range of file format export abilities including AutoCAD .dwg .dxf, and IGES.
TurboCAD is also one of the lowest priced CADs, typically a fifth to a tenth the cost of an equivalent professional 3D CAD program.

Program Installs if you ignore the CD autostart Menu, and navigate to bin/setup.exe.
Program starts. However initial splash screen menu disappears behind the main user interface screen, but has focus. User must minimize main screen to get to spalsh screen. Splash menu is distorted and buttons not visible. Splash can be closed, and then UI has active focus.
Options menus open.
Sample drawings load.
What does not
Options menus work, but OKAY button is displaced to left offscreen and
has minor other rendering defects. Button can be selected by carefully
using TAB key and then hitting enter.
Loading sample drawings are distorted an mis-rendered. Type is grossly oversized and misplaced.
What was not tested
Most functions weren't tested due to rendering problems. This is a CAD program, and display of drawings is critical to functionality.
I believe the crashing may be due to the windowing problem. This system was recently tested with IMSI's other CAD product DesignCAD, and that received a first-time gold rating after proprietary NVIDIA graphics card kernel drivers were added to allow hardware acceleration. It also had earlier window rendering problems that made it unusable. So there is some hope that Turbocad too will be fixable and runable on Wine. This test shows that late version TurboCads can be installed and opened, and drawings imported in a recent Wine ver. A nice advance for Wine.
