The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
Ubuntu Edgy x86_84, Wine 0.9.31
Oblivion along with Knights of the Nine expansion are known to work.
Given your hardware you should be on par with performance in
Windows. I've played through the entire game from start to finish and most of the Knights of the Nine expansion under Wine 0.9.29 to 0.9.31. Some sessions lasting several hours. I've only known this to work on Nvidia cards with 9746+ drivers so far. It's very stable, and even the laucher options for mods works.
Guide and troubleshooting:
What does not
* Music doesn't render properly.
* Event sound effects mixing causes static.
* HDR doesn't work.
* Sneak cursor is always at 100% opacity.
* Local map is rendered improperly with FBOs.
* Rare threading crash in animation system if you enable threading for it in ini.
* Not using FBO as OffscreenRenderingMode is known to cause crashes.

A bug present (8128) renders the game virtually useless due to not being able to load or save the game properly. Keep this in mind if you intend to play as you won't be able to get very far or at least continue.
Bug 8128 is NOT a Wine bug. Please install an official patch.
