The game. Tried training missions as well as deployment (on NON-PunkBuster servers). All seems well.
What does not
The installer. It halts just after starting to copy files.
What was not tested
Punkbuster support. It *will* fail, and you will probably get banned. Was I willing to test it? No.
To avoid using the installer you can copy the Program Files' "America's Army" directory from a Windows install OR download it as 2 .rar files (as found on FileFront.com). Copy/Extract them somewhere into your home directory (such as ~/AA). Get a copy of msvcr71.dll and extract it into ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32. Run the game: cd AA/System wine ArmyOps It seems to works excellently after changing the default Sound settings to Hardware 3D. The only annoyance is the sound balance seems to be extreme between L and R channels.
