Tested with wine 0.9.21 but wasn't available so I set to CVS. Game needs d3d9x_27.dll and no-CD crack (to bypass copy protection) to run, but the game fails to detect video hardware properly saying it doesn't meet minimum requirements (even though it does).

you might want to try changing the following setting from false to true in your titan quest options file (usually to be found here: "My Documents/My Games/Titan Quest/Settings/options.txt") or insert this line if it's not already there:
skipCompatibilityChecks = true
