Tested on a clean Win32 prefix. I'm using an nVidia GeForce GT 440 with the proprietary driver. Everything works fine except for the sound, no matter which sound engine I choose in the game options. It gets even worse when I install "dsound" from winetricks. Rated gold because everything works flawlessly except for the sound. (Admin note: rating changed to conform to the rating definitions. All features must work for a gold rating.)
