Additional Comments
Everything works except by default, the mouse will only work on one quarter of the screen. Use MouseWarpOverride->force in the registry to get it working. If it weren't for this, I'd give it a platinum, even with the brightness problem below. The game's brightness level overrides your Desktop's brightness level. For me, it made everything brighter by default, you can turn the game's brightness down, but moving it down even one step made it darker than I wanted. I used the Gog.com version, not any retail version. I think the only difference is the installer is the Gog installer rather than the normal one. I haven't tested the expansion, but I really see no reason to believe it wouldn't work the same. AMD Opteron 170 Dual Core @2.4ghz 2gb RAM Geforce 8800GTS 320mb with nvidia-drivers 180.51.

If the mouse only works on the upper left corner of the screen use this:
Open up regedit and navigate to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\DirectInput
Add a key named MouseWarpOverride, and set it's value to force.
