What works

Program installs and runs. Navigation is possible. Most buttons and menu commands work. Bookmarks work sometimes.

What does not

DOS  command from navigation bar prompt does not appear to recognize linux commands.

Font rendering is problematic - tips and opening screen are pretty much illegible. Working screen is ok.

Navigation can be problematic. Symlinks "confuse" xplorer - sometimes you get real deep in a directory structure loop created by Wine's virtual "C" drive. The system view on the left is ok, but not as good as better native Linux file managers.

Workarounds

What was not tested

Advanced comparison features, advanced keyboard references, advanced dos commands. With the lower level issues, I didn't even bother trying. I won't be using it on Linux.

Additional Comments

Barely above garbage. Too bad - this file manager is "Best of Breed" in the Windows world. I've been a devoted fan of it for years. Konqueror does a good job, and can be set up with similar views, so most functionality is available. I use Konqueror on Gnome, so I'm probably wasting hard drive space, but it works.
