In game play. I tried the overview map, tactical combat, played through like over a month in-game time.
What does not
Sound only works under emulation, but in that case it works perfectly. (This is the reason I put gold instead of platinum). I used OSS under emulation mode. There are some slight, non-important graphical bugs. Mostly saving just seems a bit slow. The main problems in-game are speed related, scrolling is a bit too fast (but is very playable at the slowest scroll speed). Also the speeds of things like shooting are significantly faster than in windows. Overall, very playable though.
What was not tested
Didn't get to the last mission/beat game. This version didn't have an installer, but was already ready to play.
Installed version of wine was via the dotpups, and didn't have NPTL or TLS under glibc.

You can fix the keyboard input using a lib/wine/dinput.dll.so file from wine version 0.9.16 or using a hack mentioned in the comments to bug #8854
