Setup: Almost perfect
Running the program: you can open files and save them back to themselves.
You can correct OCR'd text.
What does not
You cannot install from the first setup.exe, you need to go deeper into the directory structure on the CD. As in, go for op80, disk1, there's another setup.exe. Sorry, I didn't save the error message.
You cannot click in the second white window, where you select languages to OCR. You can click on the "select all" button in the gray part of that window, though.
Running the program:
Opening files: you cannot click on a file in the selection window and then click "open". You have to write the name of the file. That's tedious if you want to OCR a few hundred pages of scanned text.
Saving files: you cannot run "save file as".
What was not tested
Using OmnipagePro8 to scan.
Opening a lot of raw .jpeg text files, OCR'ing them, correcting the OCR errors, and copy-pasting that text into an external word processor.
I'll try again with a later release of wine, if I can find a .rpm for suse 10.1.
