What works

The entire program seemed to work correctly, including connecting to the Internet and downloading information, with one exception: it can not draw the route without a crash.

What does not

When you create a new route and it attempts to draw the route on the map it crashes with the follow X-windows error:

X Error of failed request: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)
Major opcode of failed request: 58 (X_SetDashes)
Value in failed request: 0x0
Serial number of failed request: 130041
Current serial number in output stream: 137018

Workarounds

What was not tested

Since I can not pass plotting the route, I can't see if the details of the route print correctly.

Additional Comments

This is so close to working. It would be really nice to finish it off.
