I used a fresh 32bit wineprefix and chose Windows 2000, copied secdrv.sys to the directory $WINEPREFIX/drive_c/windows/system32/ (as described below) and changed some registry entries: - HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\Direct3D\DirectDrawRenderer -> "gdi" - HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\Direct3D\UseGLSL -> "disabled" I start the game using "WINEARCH=wine32 WINEPREFIX=/path/to/wineprefix WINEDEBUG=fixme-all wine TP.EXE" I'd recommend to apply the registry changes only if the game does not work without them (i.e. main screen stays black).

HowTo / Notes

Installation procedure.

You have to follow this procedure to correctly install Theme Park World:

  • Insert and mount the disc.
  • Launch winecfg.
  • Make sure you are in Windows 2000 mode.
  • Make sure the D: drive points to the folder where the Theme Park World CD is mounted.
  • Install the game. DO NOT LAUNCH IT WHEN INSTALL IS FINISHED.
  • Patch the game to version 2.0 (only if wanted).
  • Make sure the following file does exist:
    ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32/drivers/secdrv.sys
    If not, copy the secdrv.sys file from your Theme Park World installation folder to
    ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32/drivers/
  • You can now launch the game.
