With the .ini changes made (see comments at bottom): Game loads correctly, skipping opening movies. Correctly renders (beautifully, even) at 1680x1050. Very smooth. Interface works more or less correctly up until train cars are added.
What does not
Sound did not work, although I haven't attempted any workarounds yet. Money is displayed with $ at the end rather than the beginning. (So ten-thousand dollars is: 10000$ rather than $10000) On the routing map, the dots at stations show up as solid white circles rather than blue/black buttons. Game is essentially unplayable since train does not move once cars are added. This is actually a /slight/ improvement to how it was before: originally, it wouldn't even ADD traincars.
What was not tested
Nothing beyond that initial point was testable.
I hesitate to give it a "Garbage" rating simply because the more complex aspects of the game (graphics, etc) work near-flawlessly. If the train would resume moving with traincars added, the game would be completely playable. Admin note: rating changed to conform to the rating definitions.
