Sound, cursor changes.
when I load the game, it plays the opening screen music (I have it set to skip opening movies), but I see nothing aside from the cursor changing.
What does not
Graphics do not display (aside from cursor changing). I can get other DirectX-based games (Civilization IV, Oblivion, etc.) working fine.
What was not tested
I do not know if the "train cars stall at the station and do not fill up" bug is still happening, since I am unable to see anything at all.
I very badly want this game to work correctly. I test it every single time a new version of Wine rolls out, but so far have not had any luck with it. I know that at least one other person has successfully launched the game under Wine, but I do not know where he and I differ. My guess is that this is related to the changes to the NVidia drivers that Ubuntu included in 10.04 Lucid -- I was able to at least "see" the game in prior versions. Given the other minor anomalies I've seen with the NVidia drivers, it wouldn't surprise me if THAT was the root cause.
