What works

So far, everything.

What does not

Some minor issues with text rendering: monetary values show up with the $ at the end (5$ instead of $5). Resource quantities in routing mode shows a disturbing amount of precision (eg. 4.55523 passengers, rather than just 4.56).

I had some minor issues with the game crashing -- but I don't know if it was just my laptop or not; I occasionally have problems with the game crashing when I boot into windows as well.

Additional Comments

NVidia GeForce 9600M GT I gave it a silver rating only because I have not yet tested Multiplayer. If multiplayer works, I'd say it deserves Gold status for this configuration. I *finally* got it working. For a long time, I would try loading the game and it would play the music but not display anything. I was able to get it working by doing this: - Download and install the 1.10 patch (you can get it from firaxis.com directly) - Download the nocd patch (gamecopyworld.com) - Set "VblankSync = 0" in the settings.ini file (if you're using ubuntu, it will probably located in ~/My Games/Sid Meier's Railroads!/settings.ini Do the other stuff with DirectX and MsXML3 dlls -- I already had those set on my system, so I just assume that they are needed.
