What works

  • Installation
  • Playing the intro videos at the second startup
  • Menus with music

  • Input, audio and graphics work

What does not

At the first startup the game loses focus and remains black for some time.

Workarounds

Tabbing in and out makes the main menu visible. The startup issue can be fixed by adjusting the resolution of the game to the native screen resolution.

What was not tested

Playing the predator level.

Additional Comments

Do not use a native dsound override. It breaks the audio.

wine 1.6 is causing access violations with this game.
this is a global problem that many games have since 1.6.

the game's crash log :
"Access Violation in module ole32.dll at 0073:68664b66."
"Read from location 00000007 caused an access violation."
