This version was free (I'm sure you can still find it somewhere), later versions are subscription only. This is by far the greatest photo browsing software I have ever come across. Simple interface, great two-window layout with pop-up full screen browser. Works like a charm in Linux. Minimalist interface means more space for the picture. No giant buttons like in the Linux programs (gthumb, f-spot, gimageview, even picasa). Allows album and tree browsing, has a dateline, thumbnails images and video, there is also installable raw support (though since the program itself is older, don't expect to get everything). Email function. Sort by: Filename, type, date, size. Customizable thumbnail size, background color, mouse behavior. Full screen image browser with very slim and functional controls.

Additional Comments

The only thing that was even slightly weird was the first time opening an image browser (double click on thumbnail). The window was off center, and since it doesn't have a title bar (how's that for saving space!) I simply had to right click and "Move" the image to center. After that it opened in the correct position every time.
