This is the latest "stable" release. The author suggests using the more current "unstable", but I haven't tried that yet.

What works

Everything I've tried so far except for some cosmetic issues.

What does not

One important dialog, the component picker, often goes partly blank. It's still working - when you find the right place to click, the entry fields redisplay and work - but it's a bit of a nuisance. Luckily, this part isn't much needed if you're working from an imported netlist. One thing I just tripped over while checking some details - it's picky about how it is invoked. Using wine C:\\Program\ Files\\FreePcb\\bin\\FreePcb it just works; using other ways of naming the executable that work fine as far as wine's finding the executable cause config files not to be found. (I'm checking on a machine where I don't usually use FreePCB).

Workarounds

What was not tested

Testing so far has been only observing what fails in normal use. I have created several reasonable sized PCBS (c. 100 components) from both an imported netlist and by manually netting a cicuit in FreePCB. No testing of more than 2 layers, for example.

Additional Comments

Aside from the display glitch in one complex dialog (and perhaps the incompleteness of testing) I'd call it Platinum.
