The installation works perfectly if you do the minimum installation, because it only needs 1 of the 3 cd's. If you do the full installation, it will ask for the other cd's, and because wine uses your cd-rom drive, you cant eject the cd. But minimum installation works.
The game itself runs perfectly, but you have to download a "no-cd" patch. That will say: recplacing the original exe file. (Read below for some instructions). If you start the game, the loading screens are just white screens, but that doesen't matter because the graphics are perfect, including the gameplay.
What does not
The loading screens are just white, and you can only do minimum installation. Also, you have to turn off the "let the window manager decorate the windows" setting in the wine configuration. Otherwise it will runs very slow.
What was not tested
I didn't play through the whole game yet.
To succesfully run the game, you have to replace the original exe file by a nocd-path exe file. Go to: http://m0001.gamecopyworld.com/games/pc_rayman_3.shtml#Rayman%203%20v1.0%20[ENGLISH]%20No-CD%20Patch and download the 1,5 mb archive which contains your exe file. Just replace the original exe file with the one you downloaded and start that exe with cd-2 of the rayman 3 cd's in your drive. It hsould run perfectly then :)
