  • Fixed an issue where reading .gpx files with phone numbers could cause POI Loader to crash.
  • Fixed an issue where alerts were being created for all POIs.
  • Fixed an issue where certain .bmp files could cause POI Loader to crash.
  • Fixed an issue where a .jpg file embedded in a .mp3 file's ID3 tag would not display on the unit.

What works

Both installation and running.

I had trouble with the device selection after running poiloader.exe. Found out this can be solved by running winecfg and defining new drive (in my case e:) pointing to the mount point of garmin in mass storage mode or memory card. poiloader.exe will then offer this drive in device selection dialog.

What does not

Anything unexpected.


What was not tested

I just converted some .gpx and .bmp files (~250 POIs) to garmin/poi/poi.gpi by a few clicks. Anything else untested.

POILoader version 2.4.2. Wine version of Debian 4.0 Etch is 0.9.25-2.1 only (not in list).
