What works
* Installation and shortcut placement on desktop
* Uninstall via "wine uninstaller" without quotes; though I had to manually remove files in windows/temp and the desktop shortcut icon.
What does not
~ Starting the demo via the desktop shortcut or from the command line via "~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Carnival Cruise Lines Tycoon$ wine CarnivalCruiseLinesTycoon.exe" without quotes does nothing, program does not load, no error messages at the command line or anything, it just doesn't run.
