Sharing mail and config files with Win98SE on a FAT32 partition. Receiving unencrypted POP3 mail, sending unencrypted SMTP mail, editing, filtering, searching, creating mail folders, copying and moving mail to folders. Opening hyperlinks in messages, when configured to use a Linux browser (Seamonkey). Attachment viewers, when Pegasus is configured to "Allow Windows to choose and run an appropriate application" and Wine can use the Gecko plugin.
What does not
SSL encryption for sending or receiving mail (bug 14797?). Attachment viewers, when configured to point to specific Linux applications: the viewer app starts, but file arguments are not passed to the app.
What was not tested
Anything not listed above.
With a 2.4GHz single core AMD processor, performance is slower than in Win98SE, but acceptable. Mail searching is ~20% slower. I have not experienced any crashes so far. Actual Wine version is 1.3.13, not listed in the dropdown selector.
