What works

The program installs flawlessly, as well as the patches.

What does not

The program will not start apparently because of a CD requirement. With Wine running as Windows XP or Windows 2000, an error message shows up on the terminal as soon as the program attempts to start:err:module:import_dll Library ntoskrnl.exe (which is needed by L"C:\\windows\\system32\\drivers\\SECDRV.SYS") not founderr:module:LdrInitializeThunk Main exe initialization for L"C:\\windows\\system32\\drivers\\SECDRV.SYS" failed, status c0000135err:module:import_dll Library ntoskrnl.exe (which is needed by L"C:\\windows\\system32\\drivers\\SECDRV.SYS") not founderr:module:LdrInitializeThunk Main exe initialization for L"C:\\windows\\system32\\drivers\\SECDRV.SYS" failed, status c0000135I have heard that this code means the program cannot find the CD. With Wine running as Windows 98 or Windows 95, a "debugger" window opens as soon as the program attempts to start. The windows asks to run the debugger program.

Workarounds

What was not tested

I have heard of patches that get rid of the need for a CD, called NoCD patches, but I have not tried any.

Additional Comments

The program is updated annually with a new version, but I bet the same fix will work for all versions; the versions seem to be quite interchangeable.
