What works
Nothing at this time because of the high-end new security features of this product through encryption that only recognizes DLL and certain CAB files derived from a WinXP platform OS. Crossover cannot fully support a break-away for this, but there is certain bypass scripts that are being tested through different utilities. If using a platform that does not contain any Windows partitions, it is even worse. Currently working closely with Adobe exclusively as they are creating a platform for Linux, for Mandriva in the particular.

Will upgrade this Rating as soon as it becomes avaiable as this power application should be exposed to the Linux kernal and made for it. Adobe has no problem with their players and readers for platformed Linux Distros, but in this particular for those who make their living with this product specific environment, it is arduous...

The Macromedia Studio 8 cd-rom was written with rockridge extensions containing bad permissions that do not let users access the files. To install from the cd-rom, you have to manually mount with e.g. sudo mount /dev/cdrom /media/cdrom -o norock
