What works
I managed to get the game installed and running.
What does not
...unfortunately the game runs incredibly slowly, with a constant "fixme:d3d:set_tex_op Unhandled texture operation WINED3DTOP_MODULATEALPHA_ADDCOLOR" in the terminal. Also, to get the install I had to temporarily copy the contents of the install disk to my hard drive and have the play disk in the CD-ROM. This was because mid-install it needs to use the play disk, but won't let you eject. Oh, and there's no sound.
