Workarounds

  • MFC42.DLL can be installed via vcrun6. Requires NT-based emulation, XP works fine.

What was not tested

  • Installer (my original disc is severely scratched, could not find a copy with an installer).

  • GPU: Nvidia
  • Driver: proprietary

Additional Comments

  • Will prompt to set display mode to 256 colors (unless you happen to be running 256 colors); this is normal and can be ignored. Also occurs on native Windows so not a Wine issue.
