Very slow F6 screen - mission description with map, not needed for gameplay

BUG: If mission Escort Prison Sub crashes game, install Sub Culture Patch 1.16 and play mission again.

Workarounds

Switching game to background - ALT+TAB does not switch to other app.
Workaround: You must press ALT+TAB, keep ALT pressed and move mouse far to right side, so it will not be captured by game
Alternative: play in window
    Activate in winecfg "Emulate a virtual desktop" resolution 640x480
    Set low resolution of you desktop, e.g. 800x600 so the game window is bigger

What was not tested

I finished the CD image version of the game.

Additional Comments

Use 3dfx version.
Install 3dfx wrapper nGlide in wine. Version 2.10 worked for me.
DXVK must not be installed, I had no picture, probably nGlide does not like DXVK.

Installation using original CD version, it is unpatched:

Mount CD using cdemu (cue+bin files):
$ cdemu-daemon --audio-driver=pulse --num-devices=2
$ cdemu load 0 ~/Downloads/SC_ENGLISH.cue
Alternative: use cdemu gui to mount CD.

Included CD Audio tracks should be available.

Install nGlide (v2.10 worked for me)
Install game:
  From mounted CD run autorun.exe
  Select 3dfx version
Download Sub Culture Patch 1.16, run it where Sub Culture is installed, see bug above.

Launch sc3dfx.exe

Repacked game version (no CD emulation):

The installer hangs, no installation is possible.
Workaround:
It has file subculture_setup-1.bin (180MB) and smaller .exe file.
It is Inno installer file. Install innoextract (linux app)
Run: innoextract subculture_setup.exe
The new folder "app" contains the game, run once RegFix.exe
Run game SC3DFX.EXE
