Pretty much everything. It works to install the game, run it, change settings etc.
What does not
Some of the characters in the game are just white all over (for example elf archers etc). It's not a big issue though.
Sometimes keyboard doesn't work (I don't know what that depends on) but it's usually enough to log out and in again and start the game again and then it works. (I have dinput and dinput8 set to builtin).
What was not tested
War of the ring
I run the game with medium settings for graphics and it performs very well. The things I mentioned in the "what doesn't work" part are so minor and might just as well depend on the specifity of my system that I could actually rate the game as Platinum.

Installing Wine with Cursor Support
To get proper cursors in the game, you need to patch Wine, which can be done as follows.
tar -xvjf cursor_patches_20070428.tar.bz2 -C cursor_patches_20070428
tar -xvjf wine-0.9.48.tar.bz2
for i in `ls ../cursor_patches_20070428`; do patch -p1 < ../cursor_patches_20070428/$i; done
make depend && make
rm -rf wine-0.9.48 wine-0.9.48.tar.bz2 cursor_patches_20070428 cursor_patches_20070428.tar.bz2
