The PC version has native support limited to a software display mode and an accelerated Glide mode, because in 1998, 3DFX cards were the de facto standard for gaming 3D graphics. However, modern computers can run the game in accelerated mode with the wrapper dgVoodoo, which translates Glide calls into Direct3D calls. This Application also supports OpenGL, Direct3D and can be ran under 8-Bit Software Rendering.

What works
Installing on a Windows9x system and then copying the installed files to the Wine Directory does fine. Be sure to delete the Music files as they will get in the way in-game.
What does not
Only Win9x works out of box.
Workarounds
Only works out of box in Win9x not in XP and above. Same as here must be done in Win10. (Cannot install or run properly on recent WinNT kernel even with compatibility)
