What works

Using a network license, all tested functionality:

• Adding surfaces
• Setting up a merit function
• Optimizing on a merit function (it even detected both CPU cores!)
  
• Graphing the optical configuration
• Plotting the spot diagram
  

What does not

• The software does not work with a USB dongle (but it will work if you have a network license)
• When ZEMAX first starts the lens editor appears behind the main window, but if you close it and open a new one then it will work properly.

Additional Comments

If you are on the same subnet as the license server you do not even need to set anything up (it is not necessary to edit the XML file specified in the installation instructions), it will automatically find the license server.
