What works

Other than the issues listed below the program runs good. Initially drawing the map is slow.

What does not

Initially I got the message "A required .DLL file MSVBVM60.DLL was not found." The FAQ has a link to download the missing file. Execute the installer under Wine and the program will work.

When you start the game the initial splash screen locks up. If you wait, it will timeout and the program will load and work properly. The about dialog does work within the app, just not during startup.

The online manual and registration information use Windows Help and do not work.

The File->Software Update fails with message "Component 'msinet.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid". I did not try to fix it.

In versions 1.0.09 and earlier the registration is broken under Linux and the 30-day timeout does not work (you have a full version instead of shareware). I have been working with the developers to get this working properly. Version 1.0.10 will fix this loophole (sorry).

What was not tested

The provided installer is not necessary so I did not use it.

I have only run the program a few times locally, there is supposed to be multiplayer capability but I have not tried it.

Additional Comments

I rated it Gold but do not know if the multi-player functionality works. The major functionality works great. I did not try running their installer because you can simply extract to a folder and execute the program.
