Vector NTI

What works

Install, primer design, BLAST search, alignment, web ordering, web analyses (select Internet Explorer as your Web browser and it will open in your Linux web browser at least on a default .wine install)

What does not

Winhelp functionality for help menus is not currently implemented, to get the full "Tools" menus you need to have mfc42.dll in your ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32 directory _before_ you install Vector NTI.

# If you want to associate, e.g., ".gb" files with Vector NTI, you need to make a simple shell script, just create a file called winestart somewhere (e.g., ~/bin), make it executable (chmod +x winestart), and put the following text into it, and associate this file with the necessary file type (for example, in GNOME you can right click on a .gb file, click Open With..., select Custom, select the path to the winestart file; you can right click and go to Properties to select Vector NTI to be the default): #!/bin/sh wine start `winepath -w $*`
