What works
At first, nothing works since the game reports that no 3D-Accelerated cards or drivers are found.
However you can run the game by installing zechensack's Glide Wrapper: http://www.zeckensack.de/glide/
After the Glide Wrapper is installed everything works perfectly.
What does not
The D3D renderer does not work, and neither do PowerVR and RagePro, but those two aren't expected to work in Wine at all(unless you find/write a wrapper for them :P).

I tested this with a GeforceFX5700. The Glide Wrapper has limitations and it may not work so well or at all on older hardware. There's a chart here detailing support for the cards: http://www.zeckensack.de/glide/readme.htm You should be covered as long as you have an NVIDIA or ATi card from a few years back. ;)
