Using DeZign for Databases, you build a logical model of the business data in the form of a graphical Entity-Relationship Diagram (ERD). Each entity is comprised of attributes which describe it, and entities are linked through relations. Besides full support for ER-modeling DeZign for Databases also allows you to use "physical elements" like constraints and default values.
You use point-and-click techniques to add entities to the diagram and to create relations between them. Your ideas are transformed into a graphical diagram. Independent of the databasetype, you define your attributes, entities, relationships and domains.
Generate your database schemas
DeZign for Databases automatically generates database schemas, ms access databases, dBase and Paradox databases out of your Entity-Relationship Diagram. You can use the same diagram to generate database schemas for multiple target DBMS's.
