What works
Everything except the launcher and the mouse in full screen mode. The game can be started by running determinance.exe . The windowed mode appears to work perfectly.
What does not
Mouse movement in full screen mode
---------------------------------
The player rotates by holding down the right mouse button, and moving the mouse. You can't see the cursor, but when it gets to the edge of the screen, your character stops turning. In Windows it keeps on turning. Additionally, when that has happened, and you quit the game in progress and go back to the main menu, in many cases you can't move your cursor over every area of the screen anymore. It's as if an invisible rectangle that defines the boundary wherein the cursor can move has moved. This means that sometimes you can't reach the button at the top of the screen.
It's possible to work around this. If for example your cursor can't reach the top part of the screen anymore, and you move your cursor all the way to the bottom, and then back up, you'll be able to reach the top of the screen.
In-game this isn't really practical.
Launcher
--------
When using determinanceLauncher.exe , two dialogs pop up:
- Failed to open main.cs
- Failed to initialize game, shutting down.
Wine quits after that.
Workarounds
What was not tested
I used the default settings from Determinance's options menu. I didn't really try out different graphics settings.
