Registax is free Image Processing Software. In particular it allows the loading and stacking of avi files to improve the signal to noise ratio of ones images. It claims to be runnable under wine in its documentation and it does install and load. In my hands so far it will not load AVI files which is crucial for it to work. I am trying to get it to do that. In addition the automatic bug reporting does not work under wine. (doesn't seem to be able to connect with internet?)

To display the avi's do:
1. download this file: http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=7895
2. Do "regedit codec.reg"
3. Download the appropriate codec-installers like divX, xVid etc. and install them. Look in the file codec.reg, what specific codec-dll you need (for example for one particular avi i needed to copy divx.dll and dpl100.dll to ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32)
4. Now just run Registax and test
That's all i guess
