3.9 is the last stable released version of StepMania as of this writing (Feb, 2007)
4.0 is in beta, but also seems to work just fine.
What does not
smzip'd music packages don't seem to work anymore. They did the last time I ran StepMania this way (using 1.1.22, give or take a version) but I can click on it, wine will try to load it, and then just give up.
What was not tested
Using a USB dancepad or similar device.
I don't consider the problem with smzips a problem with the game itself, and considering that when I ran StepMania using a GeForce4 Go chipset on Linux using this Windows version it ran normal speed, I hope the smzip file problem (whatever it may be) resolves itself as this is a potential way for some users to run the game with adequate performance when they would not have been able to before.
