Note: When using explorer /desktop the game would default to 640x480 and if you go into options and try to change it the resolution would only down to 400x300. Tested On Slackware Current Multilib 03-26-2016. Resolution Tested 800x600 windowed. Nvidia GeForce 430 GT using nouveau driver 1.0.12. AMD X255 3.1gz CPU. 2 gig Cosair memory. On 64bit multilib system you will need to do the following to run the game. export WINEARCH=win32 WINEPREFIX=~/.wine-sh4 WINEPREFIX=~/.wine-sh4 ~/Downloads/winetricks dsound directmusic then copy msdmo.dll, dsdmo.dll and msadp32.acm to ~/.wine-sh4/drive_c/windows/system32 cd ~/.wine-sh4/drive_c/windows/system32 WINEPREFIX=~/.wine-sh4 wine regsvr32 dsdmo.dll WINEPREFIX=~/.wine-sh4 wine regsvr32 quartz.dll WINEPREFIX=~/.wine-sh4 wine /location of Silent Hill 4/Silent Hill 4.exe I beat this game with wine-1.9.10 from begining to end with a patched Silent Hill 4 exe.
