The game installs without problems using standard Windows setup. It runs fine under Wine, maybe a tad slower than Windows, but speed isn't a huge issue with this particular software (in most cases). All of the functionality that was tested works, including: -- Simulator options screen -- Exhibition season creation & play -- New season creation & play -- Roster movements (from Farm team to Pro, etc.) -- Player trades -- Player database updates/additions -- Team and player management -- Output HTML functions The fonts all look good, and clickable areas in the various windows all function as expected.
What does not
Trying to play a whole season at once (Play Full Season) gave a 'subscript out of range' error. A subsequent test worked just fine, so it is more likely an issue with the somewhat buggy FHL software itself, rather than any Wine compatibility issues.
What was not tested
-- Entry Draft functionality was not tested, although that game feature is not a particularly well designed one in any case. -- Conference/Division/Team creation and modification was not tested.
May need more testing before you try to run a serious league on it, but on the whole it seems to perform very well.
