Additional Comments

I found these instructions for using Garmin MapSource with Wine and they also seem to work with the Garmin WebUpdater. My Garmin GPSMap60CX was detected! 1) Plug the GPS unit into a USB slot. 2) Open a terminal and type "dmesg | grep -i usb". (sudo dmesg on Ubuntu.) 3) Find where your GPS is attached; look for "Garmin GPS usb/tty converter now attached to ttyUSB0" or something similar. 4) Create a simlink to your device in your wine/dosdevices directory: "ln -s /dev/ttyUSB0 com1".
