What works

everything except multiplayer:

installing via Steam

playing the game @1024x768 resolution, all details set to 'High'

keyboard & mouse control

audio (using ALSA with default settings)

changing various in-game options

What does not

minor graphical bug: people (infantry) are rendered incorrectly (related to bug #6955). Mostly noticeable in the cutscenes as in the main game you usually don't come so close to them

multiplayer: cannot join to Novaworld

Additional Comments

Game version is 1.0.1.20 (obtained via Steam). DirectX installation is not needed, runs fine using Wine's built-in libraries. When I try to play a multiplayer game, it displays a 'Connecting to Novaworld' screen, but nothing happens. Good performance overall. Nvidia 7600 GT card / driver 195.36.31 Admin note: rating changed to conform to the rating definitions.
