What works
The command line tools cl2000.exe hex2000.exe work which allows you to compile, assemble, link, and convert their coff format .out files to ascii format which can then be loaded over the serial port with the ti bootloader. Therefore no windows and no emulator is required.
What does not
The ide/ gui does not work. It crashes after the splash screen with many errors and an unhandled page fault on read access. Also, during install it crashes near the end.

The command line tools are so far working flawlessly which is all I wanted anyway.
