Rayman 2 is another Jump-'n'-run game in which the hero Rayman must fight against hostile robots, which destroyed heart of the world, now divided into a thousand lums. It's your task now to collect and rebuild heart again! This version includes the GOG.com release.
Everything. Installation and playing both work perfectly after adding the below mentioned settings. The only thing that doesn't work out of the box is the input for the game itself; failure to change the settings means that the game will run but wont recognise the keyboard. There are two things necessary to make the game work properly: Firstly, you need to set the game mode to Windows 98 (or similar). Leaving the Windows mode as XP or above means that the input wont be recognised even if step two is done perfectly. Secondly, you need to set the 'dinput' dll to native. Get the native version either from somewhere else (i.e. a DirectX 9 installation) or from the CD itself; both versions seemed to work fine for me. Throw it in your C:/Windows/System32 folder, change the setting to native in winecfg and you should be good to go. After those two steps are done, the game will work fine.
What does not
What was not tested
The entire game. I only went through the first few levels and side-missions. I also didn't test custom gamepad input, which was mentioned in a few earlier posts as not working. I, however, couldn't confirm that, since I don't have one.
