Heroes of Might and Magic IV

What works

Game works without any visible problems. I tested it in clean ~/.wine directory without any aditional DLL libraries. But game i installed some months ago under older Wine version. This version "Heroes 4" can be copied to new ~./wine without any registry modifications, only some settings must be set again. Crack wasn't needed.

I played game campaign some hours (3 maps) with resolution 1280x1024. With resolution 1024x768 i tested game only some minutes, but i think it works without problems. On my computer is game with animation switched on fast and smooth.

Game works stable, but sometimes after start screen is not repainted correctly. Then start game again.

 

In fullscreen mode is still visible KDE task bar, but can be hidden to very small button what no matter.

What does not

Multiplayer. Game crashed immediatelly after network game was created.

Additional Comments

My computer: Sempron 2800+, 1GB RAM, nVidia GeForce 7600GS AGP I think, rating of this game is Gold, because multiplayer is not very much important for this Game. HOMM IV is especially oriented to singleplayer.
