Army Men RTS

What works

* Installation, though incorrect desktop shortcut icon was placed (a .lnk file)
* Starting the game demo manually via ":~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/3DO/Army Men RTS$ wine amrts.exe" without quotes at the command line
* Selecting the Campaign button from the Main menu
* All in-game cutscene animations, though some audio/vocal words are repeated/skip
* Sound, voices, effects, music
* Playing the "Full Plastic Jacket" campaign mission from start to finish
* Losing the "Full Plastic Jacket" campaign mission
* Winning the "Full Plastic Jacket" campaign mission

What does not

- While there is a mouse pointer in the game and it works, your mouse pointer also appears and follows the movement of the game generated mouse pointer meaning there are two different looking mouse pointers visible on the screen at once which move together with your movement, the more you increase the resolution the farther apart the mouse pointers become. I wasn't able to take an accurate screenshot to show this bug as with any attempt, the screenshot would only capture the game generated mouse pointer graphic but as soon as the screenshot was taken the second white mouse pointer was again visible and moving together with the game generated mouse pointer with any movement, if you keep the resolution down to 640x480 both mouse pointers are on top of each other but do move apart with movement and return together as mouse movement ceases

- From the Main Menu the following buttons don't appear to work: Boot Camp, Great Battle, and Multiplayer but this may be normal in the demo so I'm not declaring this a bug or feature that doesn't work without being able to test the retail game for comparison

- Uninstalling via wine uninstaller, title is listed twice in the wine uninstaller menu, highlighting the second mention and clicking uninstall fails, highlighting and clicking the first mention of the game demo title does go through the motions of uninstall and says it does uninstall it but checking the installation directory following the so-called uninstall reveals the files and directories were not removed at all, I removed them manually

Workarounds

What was not tested

+ Playing the game demo above the default 640x480 resolution, because I wanted the game generated mouse and the regular mouse cursor icon to remain together and as noted above in what doesn't work at higher resolutions the two mouse cursor icons are split apart which would be annoying to me in gameplay had I tried it apart from the options resolution changing section

~ Using NVIDIA Driver Version: 1.0-9631 ~ Rating this at bronze because it's playable and looks great, but the issues as mentioned above: the duplicate mouse cursor, which doesn't negate gameplay but could prove annoying at larger resolutions, and brief sound skips in vocals within the cutscene animations
