I'm using this game through PlayonLinux. The installed wine for it is 1.5.25.It should work also on the current Wine. If you see a black screen but definitely hear sound try the Task Manager trick. Go to Steam in your PlayonLinux menu and click configure. Go to the window labelled Wine. You'll see Task Manager. Click this and it will pop up task manager within your active virtual desktop environment. Select Syberia and click switch to. You should now be able to see and play Syberia.
